Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mecate Games (“we”, “us”, the “Company”) collects, uses and shares information when you play our mobile game Economics (the “Game”) on iOS and Android. It is referenced from the in-app consent screen.

2. Information we collect
You do not need to create an account or give your name to play. To run the Game, serve ads, measure usage and prevent fraud, the following data is collected automatically, mostly through third-party SDKs:
- Device & advertising identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AAID), iOS IDFA/IDFV, App Set ID and installation identifiers.
- Technical device data: device model, brand, OS and version, language, country/region, carrier, connection type and IP address.
- Usage & gameplay data: in-game events, progress, level, sessions, playtime, ad interactions and purchase interactions.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, errors and performance data.
- Purchase data: confirmation of in-app purchases (processed by Google Play or Apple — we do not receive or store your card details).
- Push notifications: a device token used to deliver notifications.
We do not knowingly collect your name, email, phone number, precise GPS location or sensitive personal data.
3. How we use your data
We distinguish between necessary purposes (needed for the Game to work) and optional purposes (which you can decline without being denied access to the Game).
Necessary
- Operate and maintain the Game and save your progress.
- Prevent fraud, cheating and abuse.
- Diagnose and fix technical errors and crashes.
- Process in-app purchases.
Optional (based on your consent)
- Show personalized advertising and measure its performance.
- Behavioral analytics and audience measurement to improve the Game.
- Install and marketing-campaign attribution.
- Promotional push notifications.
If you do not consent to the optional purposes, you can still play; the ads you see will be non-personalized (contextual).
4. Third parties we share data with

AutoLogAppEventsEnabled and AdvertiserIDCollectionEnabled = true). The Game declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission. Both are covered by the user’s consent.We do not sell your personal data. Transfers to the providers above do not require your consent when necessary to provide the service; advertising and optional analytics transfers are made on the basis of your consent.
5. Children
The Game is intended for people aged 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a minor, you must have your parent’s or guardian’s permission to use the Game and to accept data processing for advertising and analytics. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13 without such consent, we will delete it. Parents or guardians may request deletion at privacy@mecategames.com.
6. Your choices & rights
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the Game’s settings, with no retroactive effect. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict the processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@mecategames.com.
You can also control ad personalization from your device:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete/Reset advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization”.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (App Tracking Transparency).
7. Regional notices
Mexico. This notice acts as the “Aviso de Privacidad” required by the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP, published March 20, 2025). You may exercise your ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition) and revoke consent via the contact above. The supervisory authority is the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which took over the functions of the former INAI.
EU/EEA. We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest / contract performance as legal bases under the GDPR.
California. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA; you may request access or deletion via the contact above.
8. Data retention & security
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described, then delete or anonymize it. We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy.
